Welcome to Salem Lutheran Church!

All are welcome.
All means all, including
your race,
nationality,
citizenship status,
ethnicity,
sex,
gender identity,
or sexual orientation.
Jesus invited all people and so do we.

Our Beliefs

Salem belongs to the Lutheran ELCA church and the Delaware Maryland Synod.

All are welcome to communion. We believe that everyone belongs at God's table,  where God's grace is freely given.

We take seriously the greatest commandments - to love God and love our neighbor as ourselves. Through lively and worshipful praise, through dedicated community partnerships, we strive to share God's grace and goodness with the Catonsville community and the world.

Our Worship
It is our right, duty, and joy to praise God!

Salem’s worship is Christ-focused and revolves around God's Word, the reading of scripture, and Sacrament, receiving Holy Communion.

On Saturdays, our service features contemporary music and prayers. On Sundays, our worship is a traditional liturgical service with hymns coming from the Evangelical Lutheran Worship hymnbook. Sunday anthems often include guest violinists, floutists, cellists, and other special music.

Through our worship, we seek to experience the God who is revealed in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
